Meet Pantea

In the world of healthcare, Pantea Kamrava serves as a Surgical Patient Navigator at The PREOP Center. With over two decades of experience, Pantea has made an impact in her role, focusing on patient education and support.

Pantea has been with The PREOP Center for just under a year, bringing seven years of experience in surgical coordination and 15 years in medical office settings. This background has shaped her approach to patient care.

“I enjoy working here because we have a team that provides excellent patient care,” Pantea explains. “I also love helping patients feel more confident before their surgical procedures and making the experience easier by educating them on what to expect before and after surgery.”

What sets The PREOP Center apart, according to Pantea, is patient feedback. “Seeing patients’ feedback makes this a special place to work,” she shares. “Our high star reviews on Google show we are doing our job right and making the surgical process easier by clearing patients in a timely manner.”

Her focus on patient satisfaction drives her daily motivation. “What motivates me is seeing smiles on patients’ faces when they leave and feeling confident about their upcoming procedures,” Pantea says.

Pantea takes a thorough approach to patient care, ensuring that each individual receives the necessary information. “I review their chart prior to visiting, take notes for them, and make sure all questions are answered,” she explains. This preparation is vital for building confidence in her patients.

The efficiency of The PREOP Center also enhances patient care. “We can get patients in faster than most primary care offices,” Pantea explains. “Patients can get labs, EKGs, and CXR done the same day and receive results that day if specialist clearances are not required. Our team prepares patients for surgeries of all kinds, from plastic to orthopedic to neurosurgery.”

One experience stands out for Pantea. “I had a patient who came in nervous about her upcoming hip replacement. She expressed uncertainty about going through with the procedure, even though she had been in pain affecting her quality of life,” Pantea recalls.

The patient had postponed surgery due to fear of recovery and a lack of information about what to expect. After receiving education from Pantea and PA Markay, the patient felt ready for her procedure. “She showed appreciation for the step-by-step instructions provided, both verbally and in writing,” Pantea remembers.

As she reflects on her journey, Pantea expresses enthusiasm about her future at The PREOP Center. “I’m looking forward to growing with this team,” she shares. “My goal is to bring smiles to more patients and provide the best care during their surgical journeys.”

In an industry that often faces challenges, Pantea Kamrava stands as a symbol of dedication, reminding us of the difference that thoughtful care can make in patients’ lives.
